It's never saying that you weren't victimized, but you get to choes if you stay in the energy of victim. The whole idea is about taking your power back and realizing that only you are responsible for where you go from here. You can practise with the little things before you move on to the big things. Maybe just start with a journalling exercise to try to see some big event from a new perspective.
