The Disadvantages of the Balkans

The Balkans located, of course, in the southern eastern part of Europe are surrounded by high mountains but also the seas. And that location makes it susceptible to a lot of these cold air masses that come in from northern and eastern Europe and of course the Black Sea region. These cold air masses basically mix with the warm air from the Mediterranean which causes heavy, heavy snowfall and of course strong winds to boot.
