The CIA's Project to Arm and Train Muja Hadim
In the 1980s, when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan and the CIA ran a project there to start funding and arming, training, Muja Hadim from around the world. From their perspective, it was a roaring success, right? The Saudis and now the Qataris are obviously very involved where they have madrasas all around the world,. And they use those to figure out who would be solid recruits for something like this. They radicalize people, they select the ones who want to do it and they feed them into this machine.
