The Meaninglessness of War
I was in Op-Ed recently in the New York Times from a soldier who returned from Iraq. I forget the name of it, but it was basically the day I discovered there were no weapons of mass destruction. And he was talking about what it was like to take his soldiers into battle ultimately to realize that the narrative that they were given in which to go into battle was untrue and what that meant. Robert: You don't want to dishonor the efforts and the sacrifices of the soldiers who are fighting these battles for our freedoms. But while we're thinking about it, let's not be surprised if the course really has come from Jesus.
