CHAPTER

Film Review - Lucy Sleeps in a Car

The cuts last just a little too long, you're expecting it to cut but it doesn't and that creates a feeling of unease. We can feel that when she's sleeping in her car later and there are these two teenage boys or boys in the early twenties who are just walking by. She wasn't an crazed frenzy to get her dog back. The big climatic scene where she finally sees her dog again is like momentum was like she's got to find her dog. I'm just watching and I'm not rooting for it strongly in one way or another. And the notion of friendship and companionship as a human need goes through both films.
