Chitas in India - A Brief History

The chitas went extinct in 19 52, but there have been many people who want to bring them back. Many conservationists are against the introduction of african chitas yet. The government wants to re-establish the cheeta population in india and establish them as an umbella species which can then allow for the conservation of other species. And two, they want to preserve the eco systems, or habitats that the chetas inhabit.
