Haywood's Self-Determination Thesis

Haywood: Jackson is trying to reduce anti-black racism and oppression to a mere super structural remnant of slavery that supposedly has very little influence now. He says mechanization has not actually abolished sharecropping in modernized conditions such that it would lead to relief for black farmers. It is actually just concentrated black sharecropping and exploitation of black farmers, Haywood argues.
