The Five Year Rule for Naming a Corner of the City After a Loved One
The US Board on Geographic Names says that memorials must be made at least five years after a person's death. Joseph Sandman was able to dedicate the corner in Cambridge, Massachusetts only one year after he died. "It wasn't an emotional thing, isn't it? No, not at all," said his son-in-law and fellow musician Mark Schmitz.
