The President's Message to the Secret Service

The vice president recalled being old just after his arrival that the air force was trying to establish a combat air patrol, or cap, over washington. At ten o two, the communicators in the shelter began receiving reports from the secret service of an inbound aircraft, presumably high jacked, heading toward washington. That aircraft was united 93. So they had a report that flight 93 was heading towards washington, and vice president chaney confirmed the order to engage it and shoot it down.
