The Importance of Weight Loss in Endurance Sports

There still tends to be that pervasive thought that in endurance sports, in leaner sports that lighter is better. And I find most days in clinical practice, I'm having some sort of conversation to try and shift their thinking around that. The way you present that around body image and buy in with the athlete is super important. But again, we know that just losing body weight, yeah, that we might lose a bit of body mass but we could have a lot of significant issues around performance and health.
