The Sargasso Sea Treaty Is a Way to Conserve the High Seas

The Sargasso Sea is the only sea on Earth that has no land boundaries. It's dominated by a kind of seaweed called Sargassum, which creates micro environments for animals to live in. Only about 1% of the entire high seas is protected in any way right now. The treaty aims to protect this critically important habitat.
