The soleus is responsible for about six to seven body weights of muscle force when we're running. The glutes don't have a large tendon or a large tendon attached to them and so because of that they don't store and release a lot of energy when we'rerunning. And so if it were me and I were designed a strengthening program for a runner I'd be spending a lot of time working on you know strengthening those those those tissues.
