In madison's notes, you can find these clear statements by people atat the convention that people like us are a minority. And even just talking about white people, rite working class people. If if we're gong to have just a regular majority rule system, we could be in trouble. So they built in structures to insure their protection. A great example is the us Senate, which was designed to be made up of elite men who would not even be elected by the people.
