At MIT, we wrote the innovators DNA before I joined. And when I went to MIT in 2014, I looked around quickly and realized this place actually operates like these most innovative companies in the world that we've been studying for the last 10 years. The way they frame the world is, what's the challenge? What's the big, difficult, engaging challenge that's worthy of our effort here? Then, given that the challenge is bigger than me, it's going to take more than one person. If you are executing all the time and you don't allow that to happen, you need to allow the ingredients to marinate and come together and infuse into something totally different.
