The Free Spirit Is Not Without Convictions
Nicha believes that convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies. But nicha also holds that one cannot live without convictions. So the free spirit is not without convictions that would be absurd. We must always keep in mind with nite that he believes the truth to be hard to swallow, even dangerous. It could even be called harmful to life at times. And so naturally, con ctions which are something which is required for life, are themselves hostile to the truth. The pursuit of knowledge therefore involves repeated challenges to one's own convictions by exposure of those convictions to inquiry.
