The Three Arguments Against Materialism
The three arguments against materialism are just different ways of describing the hard problem. Joe Levine and Frank Jackson come up with this explanatory gap, which is simple. They say we can't make a priori deduction from facts about H2O to facts about C fibers in our brains. Chalmer: The transparent explanation of water in terms of H2O is not the sort of explanation we get when it comes to the brain and experiences.
