The Septuagint and the Ark of the Covenant

Saul requests the Ephod because he wants to ask God some questions. The Dead Sea Scrolls have him request the Urim and the Thume. So it seems like the Septuagint has the better rendering here. In the end though, we have to realize that the Ark could be in view as the textual situation isn't clarified by the Dead Sea Scrolls.
