We can learn about the divine nature and attain a greater understanding of why it exceeds our comprehension by thinking towards it from what is more intellectually accessible to us. This begins with a better understanding of what we are even thinking about when we try to think about god. The conclusions of aquinas proofs give us a variety of clear characterizations of god.
