The Soviet Union in the Cold War

The soviet union spent huge amounts of time and money on mapping. The maps are very good quality, white paper with 12 coloured printing to a high degree of registration. They were printed in huge numbers and transported across the nation. It is ironic that now we look at these maps as curiosities but also as works of art - John O'Brien.
