Is the Gospel Power of God?

Gospel is the power of god for salvation. But just giving the bare facts of the gospel, presenting the gospel, that's not enough to bring about saving faith. You have to give me an instance of where the bible, in the scripture, the gospel itself, is powerful. According to t calvinistic world view, the gospel is just informat it's just telling the elect that they were elected. That's all the gospel's really doing. Hey, congratulations. You were chosen.
