So where dublines was trying to bring dublin out into current times, maybe portrait of an artist is taking a look at ireland as a whole and n conat bigger perspective. A wants to look at just the every day, that there is art in the every day. And he wanted to transform the daily bread of everyday life into something but a permanent, artistic life of its own.
