In 2021, Princeton made a $3.77 billion return on its endowment. In nine of the last 11 years, its investment earnings had been greater than its entire operating budget. A higher percentage of Princeton graduates give money back to their school than any school in the country. The sense of community that a college gives to its students has nothing to do with the architectural design of the dorms.
