Kotlin Multi-Platform Mobile?

Kotlin multi-platform mobile and do iOS development with it, there's a bunch of hurdles that folks have to overcome. Not only can you not kind of use a Kotlin with Xcode, you would have to use a different tool. So why didn't we build separate IDE for multi-platform stuff? I think it has too limited possibilities to extend to support Kotlin.
