Back about a hundred years ago, we were eating about 15 grams of fructos per day. And that has quadrupled since then for the average person. The body may be able to handle and process a certain amount of a fructos in its whole food form. But when you overwhelm the body's machinery with processing this huge load of fructureos, you get this big surge of uric acid which is going to cause damage to the cells.
