Susan's Death

I can't imagine a day went by without her thinking about her daughter. Particularly when you think that she held her, she breastfed her for ten weeks and two days before the child goes. And then in some ways it's worse than the death because with the death, it's terminal. It's ended. Whereas you know that someone out there is alive that you gave birth to. You don't know now what she looks like. So it's almost a living death or that she's there - but she's not.
