Mastodon Is a Stateful Rails Implementation
Timothy Stanley: One thing I love about Mastodon is that it doesn't have any web accessibility. He says there would be a real steep learning curve to getting into making contributions on the site. There's another implementation of essentially Mastodon of activity pub called Pluroma, which is implemented in the Elixir programming language and runs on the Erlang VM. That strikes me as an immensely better sort of programming platform model for building this kind of thing.
