How Prehistoric Cave Paintings May Relate to Luck
There are a number of explanations as to why we do this. I personally the theandethal adolescent idea that maybe they're tagging the caves. The other explanation had to do with our ancestors pleading to the universe for good luck. It might be related, i've often wondered, to our modern urge to display the head of something we've killed on the living room wall. So maybe they were painting the results of the last hunt and hoping that that would be rewarded by a successful hunt the next time.
