Pamela Wintchel has been the voice of Night Vale community radio for more than a decade. She was forced to step down due to health problems, but refused to retire from her job. The town rallied around her and demanded that she stay on as an announcer. But then something happened which I don't remember - even though I took notes in my Little Reporters book.
