The Liberation Movement in Italy
In Italy the resistance was organized along party lines mostly dominated by the communists but with other parties as well strong parties and the liberation the central command in Milan again split between the different representatives. The liberals were very keyed in with the allied instructions to secure Mussolini and hand them over to them whereas the communists and a few others were hostile to that view.
