By 1970 80 percent of school age Americans were graduating from high school. That's more than double what it was in 1930. The average number of days in the school year got longer like kids were now at school for about 178 days out of the year. And homeschooling rises up and this kind of countercultural reaction against the mass culture of the modern liberal state.
