Ike bos: If we want to reduce incarceration rates in any meaningful way, we need to be dramatically reducing incarceration for violent offenders. Most people who get really long prison sentences are violent offenders and there are a lot of them in the united states. We actually have higher crime rates in general. And rolling that back a bit would probably actually have large benefit, at least in terms of onnet.
