In Hebrew, that phrase, HaShaitan means adversary. And in the opening of Job, it's a heavenly figure who is acting as a sort of prosecuting attorney,. He's talking to God and God is sort of like, check out my guy, Joe. It's much more of a friendly adversarial kind of relationship than this sort of cosmically antagonistic relationship that we see later thinking later religious. That's really cool.
