How to Improve Your Swimming and Triathlon Performance
In a few months of focus training you can see significant increases in a number of variables in the upper body musculature. In very trained athletes arm and shoulder muscles may rely more heavily on carbohydrates and less on fat oxidation than leg muscles. It's not so much necessarily about changing the fiber type that is important it's more about changing how they function. If you're a pure beginner or somebody with a lot of room to grow at the early part of your swimming or triathlon career then the minimal or what you need to do to improve is a lot less.
