Baptism Is Not a Universal Promise
Baptism is a universal promise, because law is not that. Law is conditional and given to unique peoples at unique times. Baptism is the opposite of that. It's for all. It is free. And we see this in romans as well. We we see language of being baptized into christ, baptized into his death, raised with him. A clearly, baptism is not taking place in romans or gala s that law does. The washing of regeneration is opposed to works. So what ramese's doing he's forcing the category of works on to the category onto baptism. But that's his egory ri. He's not taking that category from scripture itself
