The Role of Structured Neuroimaging in Clinical Diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease

There are certainly structural changes in MRIs of PD patients, but we're talking about really teeny parts of the brain. DAT scans do not differentiate PD from the atypical Parkinson's syndromes. Once high signal scanners become commercially available, I think that structural neuroimaging might become more of a rule in as opposed to a rule out type of situation for Parkinson's.
