GI Bleeding
Initial resuscitation is key but there's a caveat here that we do know that restrictive transfusion parameters actually improve outcomes in GI bleeding so typically we use a hemoglobin goal of seven and this is supported by really high quality randomized control trial evidence. A lot of these patients as we discussed have cardiac and pulmonary comorbidities in the actual sort of reasons underlying from a pathophysiology side that are important to remember.
