Is There a Virtuous Person?
I'm skeptical about the notion that there could be an ideal of the virtuous person. And my skepticism focuses on the fact that in some presentations the virtuous person is seen as immutable and perfect. So I'm in one sense very friendly to virtue ethics but in another sense would criticize some of how virtue is presented in that tradition. For many of the great elements of morality there's no, or there isn't necessarily an upper limit.
