The Importance of Offsets
The Australian government has put a price cap on offsets. The department recently in a Senate inquiry said it doesn't even think the price of offsets are going to get to that $75 price cap. So they keep pointing to cement but actually if we wanted we could just help cement specifically. It's teeny-weeny so it's majority of emissions from gas and coal facilities. I'm sure the CEOs of those companies think that they're hard to abate. They're not we've got viable technologies that could easily replace majority of fossil fuels quite quickly.
