Time is a critical factor here and these delays do not just happen pre-hospital, they will happen in hospital as well if you are not set up for dealing with them. recess is not the place to be resuscitating somebody past their phase of being critically unwell is it? It is just the point of which we're going to be providing these absolutely life-saving time-critical interventions that need to happen before we get into theatre either because the skill set is there or theatre isn't quite ready.
