Anand Leal and Chen Shun's Disappearance on September 10, 2007

Victoria Police had been in touch with their counterparts in Auckland, who said about trying to contact Anand Leal. CCTV cameras at the airport had captured Shui and Chen Shun checking in and proceeding through customs but there was no evidence to indicate that Anand had ever been there. The police returned to the family's Mount Roskell home and cordoned it off in anticipation of a forensic examination. At approximately 3 o'clock that afternoon, the police publicly confirmed that Anan's body had been found.
