Is Islam a Religion of Peace?

I think there's a drift in Catholic circles to de facto pacifism that is never just or noble for free people to defend themselves against enemies. We have people in the high-estecylons of the church who tell us that Islam is always and everywhere a religion of peace. It's simply not true. I would say the lie, the big lie, the ideological lie that led to ideologically inspired terror and genocide is not the problem confronting us today.
