What's Going on in Taiwan?
In the last couple of weeks, we have seen a big us. Naval deployment just in the waters on the eastern side of tiwan. Then the chinese have responded to that by a really large scale incursion of chinese military aircraft into tion's air defense identification zone. So how serious an incident is this? One level ther kind of symbolic gestures that doesn't actually feel like ter preparing for war in a sort of an short term. But it is clearly, on both sides, intended as a demonstration of resolve to use force if necessary to hive their objectives. And that does make the situation inherently quite dangerous.
