i do think there's a serious sort of competition right now in a clash between potential ways of organizing the u.s political economy especially i think that i'll give you a couple of examples one from before the pandemic and one from after. You remember this competition over where amazon was going to build at second headquarters  this was a classic example of what you know it's called incentivize urbanization also sometimes called geo bribery.
