The Importance of Self Awareness in Communication
For East Asians we have this collectivist culture, and for Westerners is more individualistic. We kind of were indirectly told to not stand out but be a part of the group. I feel like that really affects also our communication style in terms of how we communicate. So, there's a big difference between individualism and collectivism interms of how you come across and communicate.
