Guitarist was a member of the geraldine fibbers when they opened for golden smog in 19 96. When he joined wilco, his bandmate karlo baslich had kept in touch with jeff tweedy who played on yankee hotel fox trot. The pair met up and began writing songs together before Wilko's break-up. A new documentary has been made into a film based on their song 'A Thousand Fours'
