The Importance of Economic Decisions

Ireland has gone from being the average European country in terms of cost of living to the most expensive. The areas where the state is involved, you get this massive fiscal incontinence. In those areas, there's no cost control and prices are higher than EU average. What we're seeing at RTE is emblematic of the state not being able to control its own costs. And why? Because it's not its fucking money. It's spending other people's money.
