The Fear of Trust in Cryptocurrencies

The quintessential Bitcoin maximalist religious person, but then they blindly trust each other. I find myself stopping before I get to the point of wanting to prepare for the world falling apart because I just don't want to live in that world. The idea of trustlessness is very common in crypto. It's great that you shouldn't have to trust any intermediary often to do your financial transaction or whatever it might be. But this is built on the idea that trust is a bad thing for a system.
