Borace johnson says people who are gripped by convictions are covertly fanatics. Believes that belief is not a matter of faith, but really a cind of knowledge. Argues that in liberal bourgeois society you can believe what you like. But at the same time it means you are very vulnerable if you confront an enemy who has no doubt about what he believes.
