How Does the Error Rate Impact Quantum Computers?
errors impact computation on both annealing quantum computers and gate model quantum computers. The qubits, the unit of storage, are much more sophisticated with classical computers than the bits in quantum computers. Without error correction, you can't get through more than 20 or 30 instructions without the introduction of an error and the computation falling apart. With a gate model system, once there's an error, you lose everything.
