Why Premise Delivery Doesn't Work
A lot of scripts that don't work are they have a fantastic premise. You hear the idea shit sells it, but then you get the script and there's no trailer moments or anything to show for it. So I had a client. I wanted to talk about premise delivery. Like who's the villain of the story? A giant alien cockroach in Vades New York City. With a ticking clock mechanism. Yeah. Is it taking a clock? That's the same as the cat, right? Yes. Well, no, it's just it understands the idea that it has, but it doesn't understand how to deliver on that.
